Purchased does not mean subscription access
Audible titles acquired with cash or credits remain accessible after cancellation. Standard monthly selections and subscription-only included titles do not have the same treatment. Unused membership credits can be lost when membership ends.
Three questions for your own collection
- Did you purchase the title or merely add it from an included catalog?
- Does your account show unused credits with an expiry date?
- Will you want to revisit the title after you stop paying?
Check the provider's account details before cancelling. Rules can depend on the plan and billing route.
How this affects our recommendation
When retained access is important, ListenTally excludes borrowing and subscription-only access from the recommended fit. A cheaper plan that fails this preference is still visible in the comparison, but marked accordingly.
Retained access is not the same as owning a DRM-free file or a guarantee that a platform will operate forever.
