Use the book's normal-speed duration
Spotify measures allowance usage at normal speed. A 20-hour book still uses 20 hours when played at double speed. Replaying a section also uses allowance. Unused monthly hours expire.
Check your role on the plan
Included audiobook hours belong to eligible Individual subscribers and the manager of a Duo or Family plan. Being a plan member is not the same as being its manager. Premium Student does not include this allowance.
Plan around book length
For your own estimate, multiply the number of books by their typical published duration. Add time for sections you expect to replay. A short novel and a long fantasy installment can have very different effects on an hourly allowance.
